The Round square

By  |

The New Square or the Cid, better known as the Round Square or "Clot", was built in 1840 by Salvador Escrig from an ancient market town that served in particular the sale of fish and meat . In fact, one of the streets through which you enter is called the "Street of fish."
It is a courtyard, circular, surrounded by three floors buildings similar to each other, even in the style of the balustrade of the balconies.

At first, the lower floors of the buildings have housed the local small business specializing in the sale of household items and food. Now there are small shops selling mainly souvenirs and clothing. On Sunday, the square is transformed into a bustling market of animals, paintings and prints, music, jewelry and accessories..
